Helpr Professional Standards

Professional Standards & Accountability Policy

Effective April 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Purpose

Helpr connects service professionals with clients who rely on their stated qualifications, experience, and credentials to make informed decisions. This policy exists to protect those clients and to maintain the integrity of the Helpr marketplace.

By creating a Helpr account, you agree to be bound by these Professional Standards. Violation of these standards may result in suspension, permanent termination of your account, and potential legal liability.

2. Accuracy Requirements

You agree that all information you provide on Helpr — including but not limited to your professional qualifications, certifications, years of experience, service offerings, and credentials — is accurate, current, and truthful.

You must not:

3. Licensure & Insurance

Where your profession requires licensure, certification, or insurance under applicable law, you are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining those requirements. Helpr does not verify compliance with jurisdictional licensing requirements and does not assume liability for unlicensed practice.

If you hold professional liability insurance, you must maintain it for the duration of your active Helpr subscription. You must notify Helpr within 7 days if your insurance lapses.

4. Enforcement & Consequences

Helpr reserves the right to investigate any complaint, report, or concern regarding a professional's credentials or conduct.

Enforcement follows a tiered process:

  1. Documentation Request — You will be asked to provide supporting documentation within 72 hours.
  2. Suspension — If documentation is not provided, or a second complaint is received, your account will be suspended pending investigation.
  3. Investigation — Helpr will review all available evidence and make a determination within 7 business days.
  4. Reinstatement or Termination — If credentials are verified, your account will be restored. If misrepresentation is confirmed, your account will be permanently terminated.

Permanently terminated accounts are not eligible for refunds. Helpr reserves the right to report confirmed fraudulent activity to relevant professional regulatory bodies and to pursue recovery of costs incurred.

5. Reporting a Concern

Clients and third parties may report concerns about a professional's credentials or conduct via the report mechanism on any professional's public profile or booking page.

All reports are reviewed within 48 hours. Reporters may remain anonymous. False reports made in bad faith are also subject to action.

6. Professional Liability

You acknowledge that clients who engage your services through Helpr rely on your stated credentials. If a client suffers harm as a result of your misrepresentation, you may be held liable under applicable civil law. Helpr is not liable for harm caused by misrepresentation of credentials by professionals on the platform.
